Vamo' Puerto Rico Trip(s)

Puerto Rico, home of over 270 miles of beautiful beaches and amazing people, has recently endured some of the most devastating hurricanes of the past century. Hurricane Irma and Maria affected local infrastructure and destroyed thousands of homes leaving many Puertorrican families in great need. Our Juntos group feels called to action now and for years to come. Our commitment is to not only help re-build the island, but to contribute to the spiritual revival of the island.

Puerto Rico rebuilding efforts are far from over. Last year hurricanes not only physically devastated the island, but for many families, it destroyed more than their homes. Although difficult to see what has happened, we believe that there is hope! And we are committed to sharing our love, time and resources with those that have lost hope, and we want to invite you to join us on that journey.

After two amazing serving trips, we are excited to go back to Puerto Rico and to continue to partner with Amigo Ministries and Hunger Corp. These amazing organizations enabled us to have an impact in several communities in Puerto Rico, and we are going for more. We will work to rebuild homes, contribute to local agricultural efforts, support community centers, and build community with beautiful people waiting for someone to show up. We are here for the long run, and are looking for individuals that share our passion to serve others and to have a long-lasting impact.

Trip information:

2018 October Trip: October 20 - October 27

Sign Up Deadline: 8/1/2018
Deposit: $300 (required by 8/1/2018)
Size of Trip: 25 people
Minimum Age: 16 yrs
Total Cost: $1200 (Based on previous experiences, trip participants will be able to raise the vast majority of their trip cost by engaging people in their communities. We will be leveraging tools that facilitate this process so that you can engage friends and loved ones very easily.)

Included: This covers roundtrip airfare, hotel, ground transportation, all meals while in Puerto Rico, T-shirts, some activities, in addition to a donation to our local partner.

Not included: Meals during travel, so you'll need to plan to pay for those.
